Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)
Transparent PV Glass
Polysolar glass generates power, saves Co2 and has a return on investment! Furthermore, adding building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) to your building also gives the glass superior thermal control. Our glass reduces heat gain/loss in buildings to a g-value ≈ 0.24 for single glazing and u-value ≈ 1 W/m²K for double glazed units.
Benefits of building integrated photovoltaics
- Integral part of the building envelope
- Energy yield - onsite generation
- Low heat gain values - Reduced building cooling
- Marginal additional cost in construction
- High insulation values - Reduced heating
- No additional footprint / resources
If you are looking for a particular aesthetic then we can apply colours, patterns, logos or more traditional building textures to glass. We have a range of patterns or textures that can change the look of our solar pv glass including: concrete, wood, rust, brick, marble, anthracite, black, grey and white.
Polysolar has been designing and installing bespoke solar glazing systems for over 15 years and have a depth of experience in working on customised projects, from home rainscreen facades to conservatories.
Such systems can be combined with novel coloured transparent and opaque glass to meet your desired architectural designs.
