Our partners at 123V were tasked with creating solar PV inverter test rigs for Forth Valley College, Falkirk, to help train students at their Renewable and Energy Efficiency Training Centre.

The rig needed to be compact and portable but with enough solar to start a small growatt grid connected G98 inverter. 123V specialise in bespoke solar pv canopy solutions hand made in Britain and so were perfectly placed to assist with the design and construction.

Polysolar's Amorphous Silicon Transparent Panels were chosen as they were the only panels compact enough for the frame but also that produced a high enough DC voltage to start the inverter.
