Technical Project Manager: "PolySolar completed the PV Car Parking Canopy Installation at Newarke Street Carpark for Leicester City Council between March and June 2023.  This was a pioneer project for one of the Councils roof top parking spaces.

We hope that by being among the first rural UK councils to trial this technology in our districts, we will encourage others to follow suit. And, if it’s successful, we’ll look at how we might be able to roll out this technology at more of our sites, making best use of space, over coming years. By also introducing 8 new EV charging points, the carports will also help more residents to transition to electric vehicles – helping to reduce pollution and ensuring Mid Suffolk’s greener future as a place people are proud to call home.”  

Asset Manager, Tewkesbury Borough Council: “Tewkesbury Borough Council commissioned Polysolar for the installation of a 229kWh solar car park canopy at the rear of its Public Service Centre to provide electricity to the council offices and adjacent Leisure Centre as part of its Carbon Neutral objectives, the project was particularly challenging given funding was secured on achieving completion within 3 months of awarding the contract. Communication and decision making was paramount in delivering this project in the short timetable made easy by the regular communications and rapid solutions proposals by Polysolar to any unforeseen issue that arose during the project.
