Incorporating solar into glass or green houses is a great way to generate electricity out in the farmers fields alongside growing produce. Research has shown that there is no detrimental impact on plant yield (tested on strawberries) when solar panels are added to the external area of the glass houses. Yet the possibilities are endless if electricity can be generated where the plants grow. No more need for diesel generators or running long and expensive cables from the nearby substations.
